[url=http://cgi.ebay.com/PeggysGoneBlue-DIY-50s-Dress-Tattered-Goth-She came from her Debutante Ball...and disappeared on the way home. I found her dress.
This shelf-bust tulle & lace dress was a faded baby blue mess when I found it. The top of the skirt has v-shaped insets of floral lace above the two layers of tulle, with an underskirt of acetate satin. It has stays (bones) front & back...I had to remove the bent front ones, but it stays up just fine. It zips up the side.
I've been holding her a while, waiting for her to talk to me. She did, and now she's exquisitely tattered. I dyed the bottom half black, which came out dusty lavender gray. Asymmetric shredding gave the tatters of the skirt bottom.
From the satin pieces I created one zombie-stitch glove with lots of gray&black serging. There are two zombie-pieced long tatter ribbons of the satin attached to the top of the arm, which you can wrap around and up and around your neck. and lots of extra tulle stitched to the top of the zombie arm.
A removable black corsage with tatters you can put anywhere, and more tatters all over, serged to the dress. And an extra 24-inch zombie-pieced serged tattered ribbon to wrap round&round your other wrist or whatever.
